About Veronica

Veronica E. Trollerud, AP, DOM, brings an exceptional level of training and expertise to her practice, Acupuncture Centers of South Florida, in Coral Gables. She is a nationally licensed acupuncture physician and Chinese herbalist, with certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She’s also licensed as an acupuncture physician by the State of Florida Licensing Board. But that’s only the beginning of her credentials.

Veronica began her training as an undergraduate at Florida International University in Miami, where she studied biology and anatomy and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. From there, she earned her Master of Science in traditional Chinese medicine from the Acupuncture Massage College in Miami.

After graduating, she traveled to Shanghai, where she spent 18 months expanding and refining her skills in acupuncture by studying at the Shanghai Shuguang Hospital. While in China, Veronica immersed herself in Chinese culture and traditions, studying Mandarin, Buddhism, and traditional Chinese nutritional therapy.

She now has over 3,200 hours of training in acupuncture, herbal prescriptions, and Western medical assessments. As the president and founder of Acupuncture Centers of South Florida, she offers acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutritional counseling. Her special expertise is in women’s disorders, including fertility, pregnancy, menstrual problems, and menopausal disorders.
